yoyoyo, here, i’m back 2 talk more about HCAP!!!

Day 4

we got normal lesson. it was ok. except for i was like sleeping in the physics lab and the teacher caught me sleeping x_x HCI got 2 recesses- one at 9.20 p.m and the other at 12p.m and there school ends at 1.20p.m it’s like OMG!!! i was so terribly full at the recess at 12 p.m. actually supposed to have lessons after the second recess, but we all decided not to go. SSSSSSSShhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh………….. we went clock tower to practise our dance cos after that got aphelion nite.

And aphelion nite was FUN!!!! and very very funny, some classes did a really splendid performance and we were like laughing all the way. our performance was rather screwes up, cos we were terribly nervous, but we still got 2nd. anyway, the games were fun, especially one game called ‘limpo’ haha. hard to explain this game to u, but all the boys were very funny. haha! and ya, there was this performance by HCJC ppl and they invited some of us (NOT ME!!!) to stage to teach us dance. none of the buddies came up to help, evil! only shannon, 3 cheers to shannon. he is, like geraldine said, a very responsible guy. went out at 9.30 at nite (yawn!) and i and my buddy had a ‘battle’ with my dad and mum trying 2 tell them where 2 find HCI!!! LOL!

 Day 5 (Last day)

we have dragon boating today!!! it was FUN! poor jiamin cannot join us cos her dad dun allow :/ anyway, we were all soaked at the end of the dragon boating cos we were playing ’splashing game’ whereby we use our paddles to splash at other ppl when they come near us. I am the one who keep getting splashed lah :/

 after that we went to Hwa Chong JC to have lunch, we ate jap food. then a super super boring talk about laser. i slept during the talk, but was shaken awake by wenyi. haha. there were a few hwa chong and nanyang ppl, altogether less than 10. and they r selected by teachers, meaning they must be very pro, and they an survive so well, they were even listening ATTENTIVELY and taking down notes. I was so amazed by their attentiveness, while trying to fight the urge to sleep.

and then feedback session. after that, i decided to skip my buddy’s cca cos i dun wanna go. wahaha! and that’s the end of our days in hci, i will miss hci loads. it’s like i’m getting a little attached to the school and also the boys now :/

next week, hwa chong boys are cuming 2 stnicks. but i think they will be so bored, we only have studystudystudy. haha, so sad. hopefully can arrange some fun games for them.

i called mr tan and pleaded him not to let us take retest and he AGREED! YAY!!! i heard ss assignment a lot of ppl fail, and my clit results very lisy, AAAAARRGHHHHHH! i dun wanna get a C for my combined humanities

so today is the end of my 3rd day at HCI.

2dae got normal lesson and my friends and i went in praying that it will not be too boring but we were wrong. the lessons were fun. started with morning assembly today. and it was like LOL, shannon went up to talk in front of the school and and stood in front of the whole school. and it was like funny, they even have to introduce our school hist and they even noe what is ’simple in virtue, steadfast in duty’ LOL. we were like fighting the urge to laugh in front.

then i followed my buddy back to class. they got 2 recesses. one is at 9.20a.m and the other at 1.20p.m. anyway, we got chinese lesson and their chinese was like our chinese lit. the teacher gave us 2 pict and we have 2 write we first thought of and the reason why. angeline and i fainted and cracked our brains to think. in the end i juz write the pict looks like plant cell. haha. they even presented our poems on libai, so chim, even more chim than my clit lesson.

later is maths. i m very happy 2 say that they r only at quadratic equation. and when the teacher pass me the notes, i was like already starting 2 do the qns while my buddy was staring at me with wide eyes. LOL!

after recess, they have this chim chim student forum which took place at the auditorium. and wenyi and i were shocked that they sang their school song b4 the student forum. it’s like weird. i though sch song is supposed to be sung in the morn and not in the middle of sch? anyway, the student councillors talked to them abt some proposals and they r supposed to say out their opinions.

around the afternoon, they have a bio practical at the bio lab and i went 2 the lab it’s like WOW! they have computers in their labs. OMG! they even connect their experiments to the computers . sound so chim rite? we even get to try it! haha, the yeast suspension really stinks

DANCE!!!! tmr is aphelion nite and we r like practising like crazy. though i still can’t rmb everything lah. sad. hope i dun look stupid tmr.

why got food poisoning-sad! poor poor chinese scholars. i will pray that u will get well soon and ya, juz 2 more days at hwa chong. i think i gonna miss it. hwa chong is so fun. but i miss st nicks too. haha

i hope tmr’s aphelion nite be FUN! and well. we have dragon boat and laser talk on fri! looking forward to it

Hwa Chong Exchange program

YO!!!!! back again from my first 2 days of HCI

First day

was super blur on the first day. alighted at hwa chong junior college instead of hwa chong instituition!!!!!!!!! LOL! and when i went there, weird, why is there girls there? haha. walked through the horrible path filled with spider webs. Grace, Wenyi and I were like screaming and screaming. THE SPIDERS ARE GIGANTIC. anyway, we managed to reach there after some time (phew!) and marvelled at the size of the school. It’s like at least 3 times bigger than st nicks man! saw my buddy. his name is wayne. still dunno how 2 pronounce his name. It’s sth bet a ‘way’ and a ‘way-ni’. haha, some ppl reckons it’s the former, others think it’s the latter. but latter a bit girly. so i decided to call him ‘aye’ from now on(LOL!)

we play ‘double whacko’, use pillow. It was so funny, the boys were like throwing pillows at one another and we are like sabo-ing each other. even the teacher got sabo too!

have lesson with 3a2 first even though my buddy was in 3a1. cos he got test. and they were like (WHAT!) remainder theorem. maybe the order of topics are different, dunno. anyway, i saw benford there. he’s so tall now :/

then went back to my buddy’s class again. it was maths lesson (AGAIN!) and this time teach that alpha thing.i made my buddy feel bad cos a lot of things we teach b4. haha, i’m evil! I FORGOT HOW 2 DO A.MATHS! OMG! it was only taught like a few wks ago. time for me to revise a.maths again

wayne was well, quite nice, at least a bit better than my friends’ buddy (eh, no offence) at least he talked to me. all my friends were like complaining how quiet their buddy were. haha. n i kept talking 2 wayne during his lesson, keep on disturbing him, ha, i so bad. told him that i take elect clit. he looked like he almost wants 2 faint! LOL!

Today:

2dae got cross-country run. but that’s not really cross-country, more like cross-school. anyway, we run 2.4 km. actually supposed to run 3.5 for females and 4.2 for males. they cut it short last min. n we joined sec 3s in running. saw kenji. haha, stnicks girls r not the last. YAY! was like panting, nvr run 2.4 for so long

after that went 2 eat MACS! we took a bus for like 3-4 stops juz to take MACS (HUH!) and we were like, eehhh, LOLS! at least st nicks better, our MACS very near. but their MACs very big. ate so full, feel stomach bulging,

school tour! their school is SSOOOOOOOOOO big to begin with. went art gallery (many pro artpieces), 3-storey lib (looks like harry potter’s one), viewing gallery (nicer than ours lor) and many many many others. they even have public hostel and swimming pool, not to say, a MULTI STOREY CARPARK! was so hot and sweaty afterwards and we kept buying drinks

rehearsal for dance. we are all very last min lor. i learn everything in like 1 day, and i can’t rmb anything now. UH-OH! tmr muz ask dawn and geraldine. and ya, tmr they will have normal lesson. hope it will not be boring. i wanna go back to school and take my elect clit papers. I wan 2 noe my marks. -scared- but tmr got aft lesson and rehearsal :/

continued from last post: reflection

this post is directly continued from the last post cos the last post is simple too long and i really have a lot a lot of things to write. u can choose to read the last post first then come to this post and u can do otherwise. but this post is mostly about my reflection about some issues, so u can choose not to read this too.

firstly, i’m sure all of u knows about edison chen’s scandal and how he, and the other females face this matter. when i know about this issue juz a few weeks early, i was not very concerned about it cos it doesn’t matter to me. however, i come to realise what an impact it causes to the public.

as we know, edison chen comes from an extremely wealthy family and there are a lot of criticisms about that in the newspaper. If i’m not wrong, there is an article saying about how he got famous cos of his millionare father.  i’m not going to make any comments about this cos we don’t know the exact truth. The lessons i learnt from this issue is as follow:

1. no matter who we are, our backgrounds, whether we are wealthy or not, whatever profession we are, our values are still of utmost importance. One’s value can help to rise or destroy your future or career. Edison Chen is a classic example.

2. Society, no matter how open-minded, must still hold some traditional systems and beliefs. If not, this Earth will be filled of despicable over-freedom. Like in Edison’s case, many are not able to accept this as it is against the basic values of man and I think that this is what makes Man a spirited and a kind-hearted creature at heart. I also belive that this is God at work and God gives us our values that all humans will have so that we can control this Earth with peace and wisdom, as He so intended, but Man has indeed made God upset and disappointed.

3. We often say that the teens only depend on look when choosing idols but this seems not the case now. many ppl decided not to make Edison Chen their idol and even threw away his photos and movies. This shows that the youngs still hve a value system and I think this is a very encouraging signal to the people of the Earth. It proves that we, leaders of tomorrow, have the ability to distinguish from the right to the wrong.

on the whole, even though I watched a few of Edison Chen’s movies, I was never his fan so I was not so emotionally affected over this case. But this scandal serves as a lesson to us teens that looks does not mean one’s inner beauty.

I also knows about the Youth Olympic. I think even though many of us were very supportive of SIngapore, we were not supportive enough. We are only more aware of it when our school gives us information and tells us to support. i admit i was one of the not-enthu ppl and i’m very disappointed in myself. sometimes, i don’t understand why we, as singaporeans, can’t show more care to Singapore. For example, many youths, after going to overseas to study, never return back to Singapore and migrate to other countries. Yes, Singapore is a small country and is not at all perfect, but at least, Singapore is a very unique country in many ways as I always strongly feel when I travel in other countries.

For me, I am proud to say that I REALLY LOVE SINGAPORE. I don’t the exact reason why, but since young, i have told myself that i will always want to be singaporean. and even today, i will still shout confidently that even if i were to go overseas next time, or do business overseas, i will still come back to Singapore. I will always make Singapore my home. I also strongly feel this whenever I introduce Singapore to my overseas friend.

Since the start of this year, I really feel that I have matured in several ways. Maybe this is part of maturity but I am now starting to feel really strongly and reflect on many things that I have done. Maybe this is part of what we call, growth and maturity, but I also believe that this is the work of God for me. I have asked myself many times why God has not reached out to me, and communicate with me and I have prayed him to enter my heart, make friend with him, let me know more about Him through himself, His own mouth and not from others’ and the pastor’s mouth. I told him before that I wanted to hear his voice on my own, I wanted to see Him personally, I told Him to reach out for me and meet me one-in-one and I can say, after so many rounds of beseeching, I am now feeling much closer to God. Now, I feel I want to reach out to Him. I want to seek Him and this is probably one of the first time i feel this so strongly even though I’ve been a Christian for so many years.

And indeed, when I was looking for blogskins, I am now starting to feel strongly against sexy photos and other photos that are not very appropriate. I now seek more for chirstian skins but not many christian skins are made and some are not to my liking. but well, this is one change in me. In the past, I might not feel so much about the design and photos.

hoho, here am I again! sorry ssssoooooooooooooo long nvr post.

 actually wanted to switch to blogger a few days ago, but alas, dunno why the blog skins that I downloaded seem to have problems. tried over 20 blogskins and none works. ARGH! don’t know why leh. anyone has problems like this? anyway, desperate at the end so decided to come back to wordpress and here am I!

 HAPPY HAPPY NEWS. haha. Firstly, i pass and did quite well for my elect. clit retest. haha, cos the class nvr did well so i was quite happy. nvrm, we shall work harder for the next test and do extremely extremely well.

next, went for shooting test today. miss bio test cos of that. heard that bio test was difficult, heehee. (and i actually get to not take for it. HA!!! NP ROX!!! alright, i’m being very bad here, dun be angry, i shall shut up now) and ya, I seem to miss a lot of tests this term. cos was sick and i’m going to hwa chong program so won’t sit for tests and also this bio test. ya! and anyway, I PASS THE SHOOTING TEST!!!! OMG!!! passing mark is 60 and i got 73/80. ha! sharon got full score. CONGRATS! anyway, a lot of ppl fail, only 7 ppl pass. nvrm, squadmates, dun be sad, we can still do well next time. : )

while i was away for this shooting test, our class got a ‘battle’ with wisdom on who should go for pure geog competition and we win!!! haha, but 8 ppl wanna go and only 6 are needed, so sad. i really really hope i can go.

did u heard of the wonderful news. SINGAPORE WON FOR THE HOSTING OF YOUTH OLYMPICS!!! YA! finally. ssssooooooooooo happy about that even though i was not very enthu at first. haha, so guilty about that now. and what makes me more guilty is that a china scholar, yurui told me that. she even bothers to find out even though she’s not Singaporeans, really put me to shame. anyway, happy! YA!

going to hwa chong exchange program next week!!!! FINALLY!!! really have to looking forward to it all these weeks. and we r having lots of activities in hwa chong, like a night party, dragon boating and cross country!!! and on top of that, no lessons for one whole week. but of course i must work very very hard to catch up with lessons, or else i will be very very behind. and on the 10th week, hwa chong ppl will be coming to st nicks

 i got a lot and a lot of things more to say, but this post too long, so i shall put it in another post

hoho, not in school today. sick. boo. went 2 see doctor. he told me tmr also dun come to sch. but i wanna cum. nvrm, see how today and tomorrow. hoho. i dun nid 2 sit for e clit test. LOL! but actually got another test next week lah. and blah. i better score exceptionally well for the e clit test next week, cos i alrd miss one test and i will miss the social studies test in week 9. it means to say, next week e clit test will be the only one in ppr for combined humanities.

supposed to study for geog test now. but dun feel like. i noe tmr’s test gonna be hard. but still feel so lazy. boo. tmr also got interview. what the heck!

 well, duh. guess that’s all. i got 2 study now, i guess

haha, long long time nvr post again. i like so lazy lah.

 here’s some news to share with you, in point form.

1. my dad bought the feilunhai cd for me!!! YIPPEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!! they give free photo and file of feilunhai. haha, so cool. the song are nice. i like the chao xi huan ni and xiaoxiaodarenwu

2. i got A1 for my e maths test. haha. it’s like super easy lah.

3. To my horror, I got A for my first chinese compo. heehee.

4. surprisingly, i can rmb all the points for chem test even though i study so little beforehand.

5. I’M PROMOTED TO COPORAL!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!! finally! wait for long long liao. nvr expect this cos only 4 ppl in squad promoted to coporal and i thought since like 4/5 of the squad not promoted yet, so properly all the enthu ppl will get promoted lah. i m the not-so-enthu type. haha. so, honestly!!! but heehee, happy. i really wish they speed up the promotion process. they are really so slow about it. i wan 2 get my staff sergeant rank ASAP!!!

6. the whole of sec 2 squad promoted to lance coporal. not fair. we have to wait long long when we were at sec 2.

 now, let’s talk abt today’s assembly.it’s like.. OH so funny. one of the BEST assembly EVER!!! today talking about the spirit of chinese culture and i was like so bored at first. sia. then they have this performance, from choir, string orchestra and dance. cannot spot abi lah. haha. n the best part was still the singing of Jay Chou’s song by lin lao shi. haha. the whole school went like so crazy and my friends and i were like laughing and laughing throughout the whole process. LOL! it was funny. Mrs Tan even went up to give flower to lin lao shi. so funny. OMG!!! that song so nice, anyone has the song. i wanna put into my phone. haha.
